Sarah's Biography

Sarah has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and received her 200-hr yoga teacher training in 2017 at Sanctuary Studios in Plymouth, MA. Since, she has worked predominantly in bringing yoga to those in recovery from substance-use disorder. As a person in recovery herself, she credits a yoga practice to being one of the major outlets that helped her find healing. Her classes are centered around the intention of making yoga accessible to beginners with emphasis on breathwork, mindfulness, and mind/body connection. In addition to her 200-hr training, she also holds a certification as a Yoga of 12-Step Recovery space holder, leading meetings which “work to combine the somatic approach of yoga and the cognitive approach of 12-step programs”.
